The basic plan goes something like this: (I'm sure it'll change along the way as I meet people and discover new places to see.)
-Fly into Singapore June 9th and recover from the flight for a few days.
-Catch a flight to Indonesia to surf, dive, see the sights and do some volunteer work, hopefully with WaterMissions International (maybe visit Sumatra, Mentawai islands, Java, Bali, Lombok, Gili and Komodo Islands).
-Take a boat or plane to Malaysia where I hope to trek in the jungles of Borneo, spot an orangutan, climb Mt. Kinabalu and see the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur.
-Hop up to Thailand to see the islands, hill tribes, cobras, Bangkok (if it ever calms down) and go elephant trekking.
-Cambodia (Temples of Angkor Wat, floating villages and take a slow boat on the Mekong River, Volunteer work)
-Vietnam (Motorcycle tour thru Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Danang, Hanoi, Halong Bay, and, Sapa)
-Laos (Luang Prabang, Vientiane, and some random sleepy mountain towns)
-If I have the time and money for an additional flight, I'd love to check out the Phillipines as I've heard some great things about the country.
-Towards the end of the trip I'll start heading south back through Thailand and Malaysia towards Singapore.
-Fly home October 13th.
